About Me

I have over 15 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping in a variety of industries. I started my career in Saskatoon, SK with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, articling under a local CGA firm whose customer-centred approach has stayed with me throughout my career. In 2009 I spent a year working with a Canadian-owned dental clinic in Vietnam, where I provided accounting services in a challenging, foreign environment, learning how to communicate financial information to diverse audiences. I then moved to the beautiful Vancouver, where I went on to work with a medium-sized non-profit, ImpactBC, for 4 years, completing my Certified General Accountant designation in 2012, and eventually being promoted to a management level position. In 2013 I formed my own firm, Chelsea Belyk, Chartered Professional Accountant, providing accounting, tax, and advisory services to a variety of organizations.

It is my desire to help non-profits, charities, and small owner-managed business achieve their business goals by providing customized, timely, and reliable services. My office is based in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, but my model of service includes providing remote services to clients across the Province of BC.
